What is actually under the paint

The most useful before and after on a painting job is not the colour. It is what was failing underneath and whether anybody dealt with it.

Rotted fascia, soft trim and open stucco cracks are the reason paint fails early. Painted over, they look fine for a season. Cut out and replaced, they stop being a problem.
